About THE CEO

Nkululeko Phakama Nkomo  holds a Diploma in Marketing Research from Boston College. Over the years he has gained vast experience in the entertainment industry and has worked for various companies assuming different challenging roles. He started his working career at Hot dogz Inc (i.e. Marketing and advertising agency) as a performing Artist and Driver taking part in various Road shows for various companies which include Simba, Sasko, Coca Cola and JHB Water.

At Hot Dogz , he also did presentations at promotional events, took part in a number of theater plays, did some DJ job in big events, and his efforts were rewarded by being appointed as a stage Manager whereby he was coaching and nurturing talent of the up and coming artists. His career highlight at Hot Dogz was when he performed at Nelson Mandela birthday celebrations that took place in Bagatla tribal district in the North West province in 2000. He later joined the Health and Racquet sports club & gym as a squash Supervisor wherein he was teaching and supervising members of the club taking part in Squash. He also worked at Zinto Marketing Agency as an Artist doing promotions and road shows for a number of companies. He further went on to join JHB Water as a Public Educator and involved in a number of stakeholder projects. He has served and represented JHB Water in the City of Joburg’s Joint Organising Committee  (JOC) coordinating big events taking place in the jurisdiction of the City.

  • Other events where Nkululeko actively took part are:
 *Presidential Imbizo In 2007 wherein then President Thabo Mbeki visited numerous areas in Soweto to monitor the service delivery by the City of Johannesburg to its customers(residents) 
  • *Nedbank Soweto Marathon in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 representing JHB Water on the City’s events committee. His role was to make sure that sufficient water is been supplied to the VIPs and the runners taking part. The event has always been a success 
  • *Part of the planning committee for the Joburg Open Golf International Tour which took place in the Northern Suburb in 2008 
  • *JHB Water’s annual Water Festival serving in the project committee coordinating the edutainment program, sports, exhibition and branding. *Founder of the Edutainment program called Tappie Road show at JHB Water. 
  •  *Performed and written a number of scripts for various industrial theatre shows, Health and Safety at the workplace, Aids awareness.
  •  *Car Wash projects in Soweto and Joburg inner City as part of JHB Water’s water conservation intervention.
